With major players in the fashion industry like Edward Enninful, Cecilia Dean, and Carine Roitfeld to artists A$AP Rocky and Die Antwood sitting front row, Alexander Wang debuted his Spring 2013 collection during NYFW. Wang came into the industry in 2007 and it was quickly realized how talented the young designer was. His clothes tend to keep a basic color tone with precision tailoring and this collection proved no different.
The major trend Wang took this time around were with cutouts. Featured on the majority of the clothes, done in a different way that I’ve personally never seen before. Some outfits looks like they are being held together by nothing at all. Then to top it off, right when you the thought the show was over, the lights all cut off and a black light went on to reveal models wearing glow in the dark outfits.
